If you love lesbians and want more fantastical lesbian heroes, this is the book for you. I laughed, I cried, and I loved every moment of the main characters’ interactions with one another. Beyond that, though, Jordan has created a cast of characters that are complex, lovable, and easy to empathize with, even the evil characters. Every single character has a personality, interests, flaws, talents, etc. There’s also a brilliant and ethically sensitive pattern of representation of all kinds. READ THIS BOOK AND THEN READ IT AGAIN!!

I AM OBSESSED and cannot get enough of this writer’s books. She brings to life all the most beautiful parts of being a sapphic person searching for and finding love in a fantasy world that is both soft and intricate. I loved that I didn’t have to read any reminders of homophobia or racism, and I loved the (explosive) chemistry between Lorelei and Ash. Will be reading everything this person puts out!
